The duck and the heron

My husband came to tell me he had ordered some paint which he was going to collect so I suggested we both go as we could incorporate a walk. Unfortunately, the tide was out but we noticed the heron at a distance. 
Our eldest son rang this evening to tell us when they hope to visit after Christmas. Although our family have been home since early July we haven’t seen them yet. Both our U.K. grandsons are now home for Christmas from University and they were both working today, the first day for the youngest one and he only arrived home yesterday.
