Christmas lights
So proud of the youngest today. After weeks (and weeks) of refusing to entertain the idea of going to rugby he went this morning - at his own request. He said he was nervous, which is why he hadn't wanted to go before, but was ready. Bit of a wobble first thing this morning, but when he got down there he was amazing. Ran around, got really stuck in and loved it - I had to help him out a little towards the end, but he really should be very proud of how he conquered a fear. The eldest is really enjoying his Sunday mornings as well and it's lovely to hear him talking about playing - and his excitement about playing fixtures next year!
Took this picture as I took the dog out this afternoon. Managed to get an hour in with the dog whilst dinner was cooking, coming back to finish it all off - quite proud of that. I'm also proud of the dog, who did the entire walk off the lead, including going through town walking to heel the entire way (with a tennis ball to fixate on). Something unheard of a few months ago.
I saw our neighbour as I came home, so delighted to see her (she lost her husband on Thursday). The grief is clear, as is the relief and it was delightful to see her and have a chat (and a laugh about a few things). Very lovely lady.
Today I'm grateful for:
A day where I seem to have lots of things to be proud of..
Overhearing the boys in the bath - the eldest was very happy with the temperature and depth of the bath, to which the youngest replied - 'does it fill you with delight'. Love his turn of phrase (the answer was 'yes')
