Winchester Christmas Market

Normally each year k visit the Christmas market multiple times but this year circumstances have prevented me going and also my favourite stalls weren’t there.

I volunteered at the Winchester City Mill today. We now have to volunteer for a day. It’s a big commitment. I’ve worked as a miller and it’s the first time since the start of Covid lock down. And of course we now have to wear face masks again. Engaging with someone to talk to them isn’t easy when they can’t see you smile at them. And it’s very unpleasant wearing a mask for five hours. And with stricter hygiene rules we have to wear a white coat and a hat.

Afterwards I popped into the market to say goodbye. It finishes on Wednesday.
