Pheasant Preening

After a full meal scrapped from under the bird feeder Philippe here thought he might do a spot of preening to get himself in tip top condition. Like he wasn't already! Beautiful feathers with gorgeous saturated colour gave him the edge over 'the usurper' a few weeks ago.

He is happy to be in the garden with us and the dogs don't give him much food for thought really as he knows what the score is here. Tilly canters a few steps towards him but gives up and he quietly carries on feeding.
