Time Stands Still

Freezing, literally, and overcast today. The shallow water in the inlet froze capturing with it evidence of wind assisted movement. Beneath, decaying reeds make patterns along with the odd oak leaf trapped below. Time stands perfectly still waiting for me to record it.

I thought the reflections a distraction at first, but after a while looking and debating, I decided they are a necessary counterpoint against which the rest of the image plays off. There  are details on the ice and the stuff below, which I find interesting.
