Iris

The sky went back to uniform grey today and I think we could all do with a bit more colour, so here's an Iris looking all proper and colourful.

A busy day for me. I remembered some stuff I had forgotten (when everything is in German, that means I have to try to remember everything - inevitably some of it gets lost) and had a fun afternoon playing with assembler macros. However, the really good bit came at the end when I pulled the "did it work switch?"*

Because it did. First time.

Lots more to do tomorrow and lots more that is down in the guts of what we support. It's quite fascinating, and not a little daunting - my colleague has all this information in his head (all the jokes from "So I Married An Ax-Murderer" can be used here) and I find that amazing. It'll be my turn to do this sortof thing in about 3 months. I bet it isn't half so easy then.

And so The Song In German. Yesterday was quite a popular one (Men At Work's "Down Under"), and today you get this :-

*I don't really have a "Does it Work" Switch but it makes it a bit more exciting to read than "I subbed a bit of JCL".
