Friday afternoon turned into a booster shot odyssey. A lot of it hilarious, thankfully. We went to 3 different places in 3 different sides of town, we struck lucky at the aptly named Lucky supermarket on Old County Road. So we are boosted. This is Moderna shot number 3 for me.
Above is the old Kaiser Permanente hospital, built 1968. They are in the slow and careful process of demolishing it behind these wrappings. It is surrounded by the new campus and I believe once the building is down it will be turned into green space (don't quote me). They continued to use the old building for non-critical things as the new ones were built around it. It needed a complete seismic retrofit and didn't meet the new standards/technology/needs of a modern hospital to be bothered to do that. It'll be interesting to follow as it's dismantled bit by bit.
