Substitute Angel

Saturday - quiz day with Mum.  The Christmas tree is up (of course).  They bought their current tree sometime in either the 1960s or 70s.  It's probably highly inflammable, it smells like old movie film... It's not the only tree we've had.  During the late 70s and 80s we had a potted Norfolk Pine that was put on a trolley and wheeled into the house.

The angel that had been in use for a number of years, probably the same vintage as the tree, has finally given up the ghost so they decided to use this dolly as a substitute.  I can't recall her pedigree but it's obviously a curious one.

Today we also had the street Christmas party.  We organised it for a few years about 10-15 years ago but decided to let someone else have a go, and no one stepped up until last year (new blood).  The day was windy but fine.  Lots of babies and toddlers in our street at the moment so that was fun.

...Oh and I forgot to mention, Santa brought me my new camera earlier that expected - steep learning curve (again).  I actually bought it for street photography (something I've never been brave enough to try).
