Nostalgia

This stone lion is in the gardens of a Victorian mansion. When our sons were little, they used to love playing on it - and on a companion lion a few feet away.

Our sons are now aged 44 and 42, so it was about 40 years ago. But the lion is much older, as can be seen, perhaps 150 years in age.

Generations of small children, some sadly forgotten now, must have climbed on its back and pretended to tame it!
