The Ant Forecast

This was the sky just before dawn this morning and my first thought was rain is coming.

More clouds rolled in through the morning and I saw some reports on Facebook of lightning strikes and heavy rain in a country town about a 100K north east of Perth.

It got warmish too and by lunchtime it was 33C. It was humid and big dark clouds were building to the north all afternoon.

Disappointingly, it all came to nothing and the rain never reached us! All the clouds had sailed away by sunset and those ant forecasters from yesterday were only half right and about a 100k wrong!
