Back on the fens

I finally got the all clear to leave the house when my negative test result came through. We have learnt today that it is going to be much more difficult to return to France though still possible as we have our resident cards. We will need a test within 24 hours of leaving and then have to self isolate until a further test proves negative. Some of our friends cannot now return to the UK for a family Christmas as a compelling reason is needed to leave the country otherwise you may not be let back in. 
I spent the morning trying to sort the office out and decide what could be thrown out. Several bin bags were filled. I then went for a walk and it was great to get some fresh air and exercise. An estate agent then came round to value the house for sale or rental. Some difficult decisions will have to be made.
