Day One of Bathroom Renovations

Well today we started our bathroom renovation. With torrential rain falling the demolishers arrived just after 7:00am and it was all a reality.

Reality can be somewhat of a fear when a house is 100 years old so it was not the most relaxing day. Today we discovered that some of the brickwork will need to be reworked (lime mortar was sometimes rather poor quality) plus the concrete slab floor is questionable (the plumber will advise tomorrow).

Could be expensive but then the demolishers worked really hard and I would not want to do their work.
