Outlined in Light

There's a beautiful quality to the light at the moment, I was following Vizinho's sheep up our Land, to go photograph the JCB with telescopic forklift, that at last appeared, lifting the water tank into position on the concrete base we made.

A word of advice: don't come live in the Alentejo if you like things done quickly or when you're told they'll be done; do come if what matters to you is relationships. We know a few expats who splutter with rage at the time things take, and that doesn't help anyone. And throwing cash at people doesn't speed things up either.

Gratefuls:
- from yesterday, getting a fat Christmas card from our Blip friends, HarlingDarling and Keibr, been decorating my diary today with the stickers on the envelope
- talking to both my girls on FT today, as well as Rio the cat, and Charlee the dog
- getting our monthly update done, and Mike strimming and bringing in the pumpkins that self grew, about fifteen of them, think we might be giving some away...
