A Question of Balance

The same courier who dropped my camera off on Monday came and picked it up again. 

This old set of scales has been sitting in the hallway for a while and I thought they'd make a good photographic subject so I played with that this afternoon. 

It was always going to be a mono shot. I tried a white background and a black background and I think the white background made a cleaner shot with a high key treatment. I've added the one with the black background and low key treatment as an extra so you can decide which you like best.

Edit: I've swapped them round now as I think the dark one is more impressive on Blip.
