Look through any window
An averagely dull day today! I spent most of the morning getting pictures ready and filling and printing judging forms for the Photo Club this evening. It would normally be our Christmas dinner, but not this time! We have our 'Subtle Humour' competition which we judge in-house - just a bit of fun really.
We also have a raffle - I've dug out a nice old-fashioned (ie, pre-digital) photography book which will do as a prize.
I went for a short walk this afternoon, popping into McCaig's Tower in passing. This is a picture taken through one of the 'windows' looking over the roof of a lovely castellated house to Battleship Hill in the distance. Properly known as Cnoc Carnach, its popular name derives from its wartime use as a lookout point. It was once tree-covered, but the timber was felled for use in the First World war, or so the story goes.
