Over the Top!

This doorway was resplendent in Christmas lights and baubles , the owner obviously hoping to make the small children being taken over it’s threshold to buy new shoes a bit more enthusiastic about the event when they might rather have been in the toy shop several doorways away.

I was in Morningside to visit Waitrose because the thing I was hunting was singularly missing from all the small express supermarkets surrounding the Dower House.
I am rarely disappointed with Waitrose if I can be bothered making the hike to get there and so it was this afternoon. The bonus was a blip on a dull grey day.
