Weevil

I dashed out in the rain to grab a handful of greens for my dinner, forgetting to shake the leaves before bringing them inside. Among the livestock I brought in was this weevil, which is larger than the ones I normally see. It was about 15mm from nose to tail. I was unable to ID it. Apparently there are over 1500 different weevils in NZ. Unfortunately it had lost an antenna. Some of the shine is due to it still being wet.
