New palm trees.

As I walked into Oliva today ,work was going on replacing the palm trees that had been attacked bye the Red Palm weevils.[Rhynchophorus ferrugineus]
The palms , all 36 of them in total on the paseo were replaced last year by more palm trees and most of them have been attacked again. I cannot understand why they keep planting new palm trees when we still have the problem with the red weevil. I think they should plant roses as I miss England so much.Ha Ha.
