Jessie's collection

Jessie (1913 – 2009) was a great Georgette Heyer fan and this was her collection. She owned 50 Heyers, which as far as we can tell was only four titles short of a complete set.

Most of the books were budget price labels like Pan and Panther. Publication dates ranged from 1935 to 1979. As you would expect, they are all yellowed, and the print is small. So they might not be as pleasant to read as more modern editions and if it weren’t for their history they might be destined for the recycle bin.

But these novels were precious to Jessie and we would love them to stay together and be appreciated. So we are advertising them for sale on Gumtree. We hope Jessie’s collection may appeal to a collector or to a Heyer fan who shares Jessie’s love for her novels.
