Party Time

This is the first time in two years that we have got together for a social event with the people at BG.  It was timely and made such a difference for everyone to meet up together.  Many of them had never met as the ones that work at the 2 main locations do not generally work at both places, and there were also a number of new employees from the last year that haven't had chance to visit the other location.  We held the Christmas party at a local pub owned by an East End Londoner friend of mine called Barry who is also a daily visitor to BG here in Grapevine.

After dinner, I had prepared a pub quiz for them all and included some crazy questions amongs the more obvious general knowledge such as 'what is the most common color of toilet paper in France?' - the answer if you are at all interested is - Pink.  Then a white elephant gift exchange.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy the opportunity and it was also a good opportunity to thank them all for the extra effort that has had to be put in to make up for our difficulties in maintaining a full employment level - I really don't understand what has happened to all the people who were working for the businesses in our sector that have supposedly gone out of business because of Covid - but hopefully things will improve in the new year.
