Disappointment

Covid cases are on the rise everywhere.  We are always cautious, always masked, avoid crowded places and only socialize with a few vaccinated friends.  We have decided to cancel our plans to go to NYC this weekend where we were going to see #3 and #4 sons, their wives and our three youngest grandchildren.  As seniors, there are too many uncontrollables and too much risk.  

The disappointment has overwhelmed me today as I am coming to the realization that this winter is going to be much like last.
