Carolling in style

Locals who are interested in the Arts and Craft Movement may recognise the hall at Blackwell, on the shores of Lake Windermere, where some members of the Kendal Concert Band played carols this lunchtime.  I worked there many years ago, and to me the long dark corridors with their wooden panelling and the ghost of a very frightening boss always make me feel very nervous.
