Between fen and mountains

Today's bake

I baked a couple of sourdough loaves which was a welcome distraction from preparing accounts for the French tax office. The forms declaring foreign bank accounts and investments are seven pages long for each account or product. French administration is notorious and much complained about or joked about by the French themselves. A Gallic shrug comes in handy. Our tests are on the way to the lab but the tracking shows they have been stuck at Peterborough sorting office all day. I hope they make their onward journey soon. Given the amount of Omicron already in the country, this isolation seems a bit ridiculous especially as we were tested before we left and did not travel on a train or plane.
