Antique

This is one of the very few things I have that once belonged to my grandmother. 

I don't know what you would call it - a purse perhaps, even though it's made of cheap metal? - but it was a way of carrying several coins, possibly on a chain round one's neck.

As you can see, this side has slots for a shilling, a sixpence and a silver threepenny. The coins shown are all from the reign of George VI and are dated 1950, 1948 and 1940 respectively.

On the other side are slots for a sovereign and a half-sovereign, but they are empty.

I very much doubt if the piece is valuable, although there may be people who collect this sort of thing...
