Wolverhampton In Mosaic

I tried a new walk with Hollie dog today-Barnhurst Pitches at Pendeford. I have known about this place for a long while but never been there. Odd.

It was so good I think it will be a regular haunt, boasting a huge green area of open land, multiple football pitches and a wonderful surfaced track which runs for a measured one kilometre. The path is broad and meandering, and punctuated by distance markers at start, finish and every hundred metres in between. And splendid mosaics at the path intersections which chart some important historic places and events on the City's recent history.

The  whole area has a truly amazing history which bears prolonged investigation and in my future rambles I will blip more of this amazing stuff.

Gary has completed plaster-boarding the extension and next stop will be plastering. Goody, it's getting serious now!

I am writing my journal whilst Mrs I is tending to and feeding her ancient parents. Her visits are the highlight of their day, I hope we don't get locked down again, that could be difficult.

**Very sad to report the passing of one of my blip friends - Marlene. She had been very poorly and had a tremendous amount of trouble and pain in the year that I have been blip friends with her. I am sure many of you will know her journal and will be sorry to hear this unfortunate news. RIP Marlene, you fought the good fight.
Thanks to Mumof4wildlings for the update.**
