December rose
Why I like London: roses bloom in December. This seemed miraculous to me when I first moved here from frozen Upstate New York.
I visited the dentist today. A crucial molar is cracked but so far not too painful, so I can try to keep it a little longer.
I ran into Judy on the way back. Her lodger has Covid so J’s life is suddenly on hold. Inconvenient as S is arriving tomorrow, and then flying off in a few days, or at least that’s the current plan.
I began L’Anomalie by Herve Le Tellier, which won the Prix Goncourt in 2020. It doesn’t look too difficult so far.
