Cut Lane.
The Feast Day of St. John of the Cross.
It is 9c here at 2:40pm in Rishton, but when I went for a blip walk this morning it felt a lot colder. I bought some presents and then put some items in the food bank in the Co op.
I had a good stroll to Cut Wood, and walked up a very muddy lane. In the woodland two tall Oak trees had been chopped down on either side of the main path that goes down to the reservoir.
The central core wood of the tree on the left hand side looked rotten, whereas I could see no visible rotten wood in the tree chopped down on the right. Any tree felled is a big loss. The branches had been left in piles to provide a home for a range of micro biodiversity. I did not see any squirrels but there were magpies and a few dog walkers.
My morning flew and now for some reading and crochet. I have found it interesting learning how to crochet a few different styles of snowflake.
I will blip them soon.
Have a lovely Tuesday and thanks for dropping by blip friends.
