2022

This morning Dougal caught a Stoat; well, we think it was Dougal. When I let Florence out at some point during the morning she pounced on the dead stoat left on he steps and brought it indoors where she dropped it in the dining room. At that point I thought it was a live squirrel! Fortunately she picked it up again and allowed me to carry her outside where she dropped it in the grass and then ignored it. I presume they do not taste very nice.

Today’s picture is of the front cover of my 2022 desk calendar, which caused me a lot of stress last week. The picture is of the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge, which I took during the summer. This is not the style of calendar I usually produce, but Vistaprint no longer has same layout available. Several other companies did have the correct style, but it was difficult to get my pictures into them due to some layout constraints. The inside pages contain pictures of various events taken during 2021. Some had to be edited, not something I do very often. I actually managed to clone out a whole person as well as another person’s leg and the results, which have been printed look good. During 2022 when desperate for a blip I might blip some of the inside pictures.

The temperature at GMT noon was eleven degrees Celsius today; a warm, but very dull day.
