Walking the Wall

A day off, of sorts. First, a drive down to Newcastle to buy some wallpaper for the bedroom from a huge DIY shop. A fairly painless exercise as we'd already chosen some from the website. Very glad we hadn't made an online click-and-collect order though, as it was on clearance in the shop and had been reduced in price by a substantial amount!

Then a trip through Hexham and Corbridge to the Steel Rigg car park on Hadrian's Wall. After a bite to eat in the van, we walked a short section of the wall - to the west, up to Winshields (the highest point on the wall) and beyond. Some fabulous views!
