Shelter

We had a lovely adventure today doing our Walk for Home raising well over £1000 for Shelter. I’m a bit embarrassed to say I don’t think I’ve been on the steamer before (although I think I might have been on a short trip over 30 years ago as part of a village society thing). My friend and her husband picked me up and we joined up with her son and his partner who were over from the north east and we all boarded the steamer at Glenridding. We got off at Howtown and then walked back to Glenridding stopping for coffee, soup, sarnies and red squirrel spotting and then went for the obligatory finale and a dip in the lake afterwards.
All topped off with a pint in the Queens Head.
