Shadows

It was a beautiful sunny day and I went on a walk at lunchtime - earlier than my norm because I was going to be in a Zoom meeting this afternoon, and I knew it might be dark by the time we finished.

I walked around a couple of fields and through a small copse not far from home. There’s been a lot of coppicing going on here, opening up the woodland, and the sun was beautiful shining through the trees. I love the long shadows and there were still lots of leaves on the trees. I found a nice log to sit on, but there was no time today. I’ll be back another day with a flask of coffee, I’m sure!
