It was a dark day. The First Minister spoke of a possible tsunami of Covid infections thanks to the Omicron variant. We decided at work to postpone our Christmas lunch next week. I was planning on a trip up to Edinburgh to join my colleagues and to see a small number of friends. 

Honestly? I’ve had more than enough of this pandemic...
