Cullen Skink

A soup made of smoked haddock, potatoes, onion, butter, milk and parsley or chives. There's a recipe here if you fancy a go at making it. I had this at the Secret Herb Garden just outside Edinburgh where I met up with some of the old gang from Redhall for a celebration of 50th birthdays from this year and last (of which there were four, although only three were able to be there in the end). We reckoned it didn't constitute a Christmas party so we were in the clear. It was very good to see everyone, particularly as we may not be able to see each other again for a while if we get locked down again - as seems only too likely.
