Apparently.  These are the standing stones of the village.  One has a hole which suggests a millstone, but they're old stones and they're standing (about 2m above ground) so they're undoubtedly standing stones.

We walked up to a shared ownership development above the village.  It was good exercise but it persuaded us that we were in the right place, further down the hill with a very decent view north to the Mendip Hills.
