Are you sure the Grinch is Okay?

First I want to thank you for all the caring thoughts and prayers for my son. I feel so blessed to have a supportive community where I can share the honest hopes and fears of my day.

Now, smile with me and see that look on little Ellie's face as she stood by Grinch for a photo; he looks pretty friendly to me. In the extra shot, Little Miss looks more comfortable with Santa. She told Santa that she didn't know what she wanted for Christmas..." anything is okay."  I asked her what she thought Santa might give her; she told me it would be a surprise.  :-))

We visited our son and his family today; it was a lovely visit; his daughter was home from college, which was nice. When we got there, the buyer for his daughter's car was negotiating with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The market for used vehicles is outstanding right now; her Jeep is two years old with 25,000 miles, and they got $50 less than what they paid for the car two years ago!!! They have been thinking about selling it for a while, but now seems like the perfect time since Ron won't be able to drive for six months and his daughter can use his car. He is ordering himself a new pickup after his surgery...he was looking at what he wanted while we were visiting with him in his office... while they were negotiating the sale in the kitchen/dining room.  I think it is positive that Ron is planning ahead and not dwelling on the worst-case scenario.
