An utterly fantastic book

This is what Sheepy is having read to him tonight - a new book bought whilst out and about in Ches Vegas today: Lauren Child's Clarice Bean. If it's half as good as Charlie and Lola then it'll be brilliant. I am not sure it's all going in, but she's dead keen on reading it and doing OK with the language.

The main job of the day today was to get a new carpet sorted for the stairs and landing. I took up the stair carpet, er, over a year ago, ahem, and now have painting to do before it gets fitted next week.

Tomorrow sees us off on a short mystery tour (Mrs H's birthday present) - I've been very secretive about it, not even the girls know.

Oh - and Mrs H is quite keen on the suggestion from a couple of you in replicating yesterday's Blip with me - so watch this space......
