Jar lanterns

I have been meaning to do this little project for so long, every since we moved here and I started collecting these glass jars. I've got quite a collection of sizes, there's only a third of them in this picture.

Well today was the day where I finally painted these jars a mixture of purple, blue, yellow, orange and red, so that come summer, I can hang them around the garden as lanterns. I've tested inside with the lights turned off and candles inside and the colourful glow they give off is gorgeous. I'm going to have to get some citronella candles, which will help keep the mozzies away.

Bring on the summer evenings, with a bbq going and some smores.
