Dinner with the girls

So the end of the 4th week sees us at just under 19000 children applied for and just over 9000 still be fulfilled. Based on last year, we are expecting a ton of gifts to be donated this weekend and give us enough to work with on Monday morning. The teams of volunteers we have in next week are very experienced and I’m pretty confident that’s we will be finished by the cut off date.

Sneaked away before 4 to head to my friend’s house to get ready for our dinner out. As there were only 4 of us we figured that we’d be ok to go ahead and it was a nice evening. The restaurant has recently changed hands and is now part of the Gordon Ramsay stable. We all enjoyed the food but were disappointed that the decor was unchanged from the previous owners and the toilets left a lot to be desired as their flushing capability was very limited. Service was sadly lacking too. I don’t think we will be rushing back.

It was nice to catch up though even if we didn’t feel particularly festive!

We headed back to Susan’s to have a nightcap before Mr PHL came to pick me up.
