Failed mission
Grace got home from work last night to find her Christmas tree had crashed to the floor! Cats?
Most of it has been restored but there was some broken glass (fortunately she had gone home before picking up the girls from nursery) from a broken glass bauble of Boodgie, David Hockney’s dachshund, familiar to anyone who has dined at Salt’s Diner at the mill in Saltaire. So today, after my hairdresser had been we popped on to Saltaire to see if we could get a replacement.
It’s probably quite a number of years since I bought the broken one there and they didn’t have any left though the young man did have a good look.
Anyway, despite the failure, it gave us chance to look around the lovely Salt’s Mill in it’s Christmas dress and to have a quick look at the shops in Victoria Road.
Managed not to buy anything but did pick a leaflet/ map for the Saltaire Advent windows. Hopefully I will make it back to enjoy some of them before the Christmas period is over.- there are 62 windows in all which will stay lit until the 1st January.
Extra - DON’T LOOK GRACE - the finished wrap cardigan in Ginger Felted Tweed yarn.
Link on yesterday’s blip to London Flickr album, sorry added it late.
