Christmas Carols
This afternoon I went with my beloved for a soiree with her piano teacher, now also our friend. She taught our son many moons ago but he did not take to it. Some years later, my beloved decided she wanted to (re-)learn the piano and... of course, our son's ex-teacher was the natural choice. The friendship struck up soon after the lessons started. Apparently the lessons are as much fun as they are instructional - a nice way to appreciate music. There were only about 10 of us, 4 students, ranging in age from 13 to 61 and parents and partners.
I discovered the joys of "The Art of Finger Dexterity" by Carl Czerny, or at least one of them (Book 1, no. 4 "Light motion in quiet staccato"). Magic stuff!
