Moored

I I had a phone call this morning from a friend who lives in Kamloops. Her cousin died from a fentanyl overdose and his funeral was today. The opioid crisis is incredible here, so many deaths. I imagine that many people in BC know someone whose family has been affected by the crisis. So sad.
I had to make an unexpected trip to town and had a quick trip around the harbour to take a photo. I hope people who live in boats stay warm in this weather. One of our friends who did live on a boat has breast cancer, so she and her husband made a decision to sell the boat and buy a motor home. They're settled into it now, much easier for her.
There was a group of children from the elementary school singing Christmas songs in the small park by the harbour. I took a couple of photos but didn't want to post them. As I said to another guy who had stopped to listen to them, "This would brighten anyone's day!"  Their happy faces and lovely voices certainly lifted my spirits.
