Walk Around Tara

No, we didn't visit the set of Gone With the Wind, but just one of our better urban walks in a little area of Bedford called 'Tara'.  Managed to get a couple of chapters of Tess recorded and put up on the podcast - up to chapter 23 now and Leyna decorated the Christmas Tree (Christmas Coat hangar) which has the benefit of not shedding pine needles anywhere and can be re-used every year.

The walk was very pleasant though unseasonably warm as it is expected to continue to be in the 80's for the next couple of days.  And then it will plummet apparently to around 45 deg F.

Also managed to catch probably the most encouraging part of the Ashes test match when England, who had an abysmal first innings at bat managed to take 2 wickets in 2 balls but I had to go to bed before it once again looked bleak (though I see we are now in a little mini fight back in the second innings).

I also discovered that I can freeze excess gnocchi that I hand make - I put them on a tray until frozen and could be bagged up.  Tonight I emptied them into boiling water from frozen and they cooked up a treat and tasted the same as when fresh - good to know for future.  This time I coated them in a cacio pepe sauce which was quite delicious!
