Showtime

Had a really lovely day. 
Was invited to go see Ruby dance at the end of term show at The Northern Ballet School in Manchester.
Just needed to do a Lateral Flow Test after l has driven  myself over to Skipton and Rebecca sorted out my covid passport on my phone . 

Went the rest of the journey with Verity, Kitty and Rebecca driving.
Felt safe in the theatre, lots of space.
99% of the audience were wearing a mask.
A super afternoon and Ruby was one of five from her year group to have a solo spot.
Had look back in my journal and saw it was exactly two years ( 10/12/19)  since l last saw her perform and it was in much happier times, even though we didn’t realise it was the last time Mr P would see her dance.
She has progressed so much.
A lot has happened since then both to me and my family and to the world.
Had a tear in my eye as the show began  but then enjoyed every minute of it.
Understandably no photographs allowed at all.
Then the extra joy that we could bring Ruby home for four weeks!
Now back at my own  home and reflecting on a special day.
As we move into more uncertain times, l wonder how long it will be before l can see her dance again.
