Arrived at our staging post...

...late afternoon on the Tyne...

Helen and Mike dropped in for coffee and cake this morning on their way to a walking meet in a bunkhouse near Saddleworth. They hadn't seen Roy since his hip op in July, though I call in when I'm on my way to badminton, so it was nice to catch up.
After they'd gone we set off oop north - another lovely blue skies day, but my the M1 and A19 were busy!
