Sedbergh Bookclub

Today we met for our Christmas meeting to discuss our book over mince pies and mulled wine. We had read Old Baggage by Lissa Evans. In historic order this is the first of 3 books featuring Mattie Simpson, who is part of the suffragette movement. The second book (actually written first) called Crooked Heart, takes the story on in time. I had read this one first and this caused me a lot of deja vue as it felt like I had read it before. It’s an amusing read, but probably best If you start with Old Baggage.
Today’s tea is Spiced Red Tea and I have just seen there is an interesting fact printed on each day, which will now appear.
