Steps up to the Great Beech Tree.

A few years ago climbing those flights of stone steps was so easy ….. now, my knees are not quite so supple and without a hand rail I have to take it slowly. Up at the top of the steps is what remains of the great Pollok Beech tree which split in two after vandals set it on fire.

A lazy afternoon after I made some soup with veggies that were certainly past their best.
