Nature in a snowless, frost-free winter
This is what nature looks like in a winter without ice or snow. The few wanderers scared the birds away, so nothing on the water or in the air.
I don't know where the nutrias or turtles hide, perhaps they packed their suitcases and went to the south for a bit of warmth, or the north to get a real winter.
A couple of the storks, in the summer there are nearly two dozen in this reserve, didn't go on their winter journey. The farmers around the reserve have enough for them to eat. And the cattle that help to preserve the reserve didn't want to be pictured and stayed too far away from the paths open for the public, at least for a "wide" lens.
