Boys toys
Brooklands Museum must be one of the best days out for a twelve year old boy. There is so much to see that we were only able to concentrate on aircraft and will have to save the motor museum for another visit.
We climbed into several different airliners, the best of all being Concorde. We explored a hangar full of aircraft from very early models to much more recent ones. The star of this hangar is a Wellington bomber which had been retrieved from 60ft below the surface of Loch Ness.
We went for a ride on an old bus (just like the one I used to go to school on!) and Normous and George had rides in fast cars up the embankment of the old Brooklands race track.
A boys' day and they enjoyed it a lot. Granny tagged along!
