A wet and sodden `Carriageway Drive', Grenoside
This afternoon I've been to deliver the two portfolios of prints + one Sainsbury's carrier bag containing the small framed prints to the Cupola Gallery in Middlewood, Sheffield. They hold an `under the bed sale' after Christmas and we thought that we would see if some of Jan's prints could find new homes. I still have the spreadsheet to complete, but I have kept a copy of my notes. It will be a bit tedious, but won't involve any decisions.
As I was packing Jan's prints up it did cross my mind that some of my mum's textile samples might find a new home. She was very good, and some of them might be useful to anyone who is teaching textiles. And then of course I have plenty of my own prints and photos that might find a new home and I'd be more than happy to raise money for the Barnsley Hospice and Marie Curie, both of which got us through some really difficult times.
The carriageway drive is one of my favourite routes into Sheffield. I should have stopped on my way to the gallery as the sun was picking up highlights on the wet tree trunks.
