It's not long now
Covid willing, the younger daughter and her fiancé arrive in 11 days, for a short stay. They move on to his family for the actual festive period. So we have to do something to make the few days they are here feel Christmassy - and these placemats are the start. Two finished, four more to go - the fronts are made and the backs are cut out - just need fastening together. Except I need some extra wadding - it's on order!
It's difficult to feel much enthusiasm, with all the tension over the house sale, and I don't think we'll get the box of decorations out of the loft until we're ready to pack it up and move! We shan't bother with an actual tree, but I have a few decorations to hang around the place.
We managed two trips to the tip with gardening stuff and some scrap wood, as well as some actual rubbish, this morning, before the rain arrived, and the wind got up. I hope everyone stays says.
